Giave, in business for 40 years now (1968–present), was originally founded as a repair shop for various machinery and equipment. In 1972, the focus included the manufacture of Flexographic presses for the printing of paper and plastic films. As requests increased for more applications across the printing industry, rotogravure appeared in 1972, and lamination in 1976. From 1980 to date Giave has increased its equipment offerings while using the latest technology to deliver good quality equipment at reasonable prices. Other additions as follows:
1980– RG line of slit and rewinding lines.
1986 – Gammaflex flexo line.
1992 – Titania rotogravure line. Giave’s first modular rotogravure line with a sleeved impression system. Allowing for more efficient changeover from job to job.
1994 – 100th Gammaflex line delivered in just 8 years.
1997 – Giave moved into the current facility with a total area of 8,000 square meters.
2001 – Give introduced its first fully electronic independent servo driven press.
Currently, Giave offers equipment possibilities for the following applications. Rotogravure, Flexographic Stack, Slit and Winding, and Solventless Lamination.
Giave’s approach to the North American market is to fit each line with a modem to better facilitate hands on communications with local Spanish support for trouble shooting purposes. Further, Giave’s approach also includes, local support for it’s lines sold here in North America, to ensure that the client has confidence in the ability for support, should the need arise. There is also an avenue for operator training on the purchase of every new line from Giave.
